Feb 16, 2014 PM – Relationship Between Shepard And Sheep Sermon – Pastor Harris

THIS IS A MUST SEE VIDEO. IT WILL BLESS PASTOR’S AND MEMBERS ALIKE.

Pastor Harris taught and preached an very powerful, encouraging and yet challenging messages for both the shepherd, staff and sheep! Worth the time investment.

Here are some of the points from the message:

The Sheep Shepherd Relationship
Psalm 23
Pastor Chris Harris

Shepherd feeds you with knowledge and understanding. If you have no pastor you remain unknowledgeable.
God is the one that hired the shepherd. The Hebrew shepherds by the tools that he carries. He has a full time job grooming, guiding and guarding sheep. You can know the scriptures but it’s more important to know the shepherd.

1. The shepherd grooms the sheep.
Any shepherd that covers sheep knows you only get good wool after five years but he keeps them because of love and loyalty.

2. The shepherd guides sheep.
Sheep are not driven, they are lead. Sheep follow but goats have to pull them. Pastors are trying to pull goats instead of guiding sheep.

Crowd control is essential to crisis control.

3. The shepherd guarding sheep.
Sheep are defenseless. Good shepherds have watch dogs with the flock. These are the ones the members don’t like cause they tell him what is needed to be known.

4. Staff – Good shepherds need good staff

The staff is a long stick that has a hook on the end to pull wandering sheep back to the flock. He can also uses the staff pulls you out of the ditch. The staff will help you get through dry places. The staff needs to turn into something!!! The staff becomes whatever the shepherd needs it to be. Staff doesn’t have a mouth so it has no opinion or mind to think or feet to move until moved by shepherd.
